The Co-Chairs' Awards
A stamping plant, parts depot and engineering group have received UAW-Chrysler’s
highest tribute for leadership and achieving the best results in quality,
productivity and other measures that enhance the company’s competitive
position.
The awards symbolize overall success by these Chrysler LLC locations
in meeting corporate operational goals based on measurable results and
a productive working relationship between union and management.
Based on results achieved in 2007, the awards were presented on behalf
of UAW Vice President General Holiefield, director of the union’s
Chrysler Department, and Al Iacobelli, Chrysler vice president of employee
relations. Holiefield and Iacobelli are co-chairs of the UAW-Chrysler
Joint Activities Board.
Warren Stamping was honored for setting the pace among Chrysler’s
manufacturing facilities while the Denver PDC led the way within Mopar.
Advance Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly and Stamping Platform, was
singled out as top performer among Chrysler’s salaried bargaining
units.
Each of the locations ranked highest in its category for year-end performance
metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
They also were recognized for outstanding performance
in building good Morale, the fifth key measure, as determined by having
the most productive working relationship between union and management
within their respective categories.
